Spring admissions becoming less competitive - good news for applicants

I came across this and felt it might be helpful since many posters here are transfer students.

For those of you interested in transferring to GSU, GSU's IPORT database has updated with the final numbers for spring 2014. Applications once again fell for Georgia State's spring transfer for the 5th time. That means those of you who applied should have had a slightly better shot at admissions.

Note: Spring students include freshman, transfers, post-baccs, non-traditional, dual enrollment students, transient students, non-degree seeking students and all other forms of students

GSU's transfer admissions has slowly become less competitive by the year. The average GPA for a matriculating spring student was 3.30.

Spring 2014's cycle had 3,856 applicants.
Spring 2013's cycle had 4,660 applicants.
Spring 2012's cycle had 4,708 applicants.
Spring 2011's cycle had 4,889 applicants.
Spring 2010's cycle had 5,284 applicants.
Spring 2009's cycle had 5,513 applicants.
