Any trips planned for over spring break? We have just one and that is Oregon State. D2 is pretty excited about checking it out.

Well I’ll be visiting my school, not a tour though, just going to talk to financial aid :p

We are visiting 4 schools with my sophomore: NEU, BU, Lehigh, and Muhlenberg ( she already decided against Muhlenberg because it is too small). During the winter break we visited 4 schools in NY because we were already up there visiting her sister for siblings weekend. We have about 17 schools on the list that my daughter has to narrow down and there is no way we can see them all junior year.

Of all the colleges D has formally and informally has toured, OSU is her favorite. D preferred it over U of Oregon by a mile. Corvallis just “felt right”. She loved the leafy campus, closed streets (no cars allowed), and intimate feel, and rabid spirit. Corvallis is a small college town so everyone loves their Beavs and was wearing orange and black. I think that’s why visiting a campus (if your budget allows) before enrolling or applying is important.

Have done several already. Going to see Emory over spring break.

It’s great when the college and HS schedules differ, so that classes are in session when you visit, but you don’t have to miss any school.
