I will be signing up soon for my classes. I have a few weeks left to sign up, so I really need to decide now. Hopefully, you guys can help me.

My planned Schedule is:

TTh

10:30-11:45 am Intro to Government (3)
12:00-01:15 pm History of Ancient Near East (3)
1:30- 2:45 pm Human Anatomy and Physiology (Discussion) (4)
3:00- 4:15 pm Human Anatomy and Physiology (Lab)
5:30 - 6:45 pm Intro to Macroeconomics (3)
Total Units: 13

So, what do you guys think of this schedule? It seems doable for me. I only have a few minutes break, just enough to go to classes.

Should I add a microbiology class on MW 1:30 to 5:05 Pm or is it too much? Next semester, I am planning not to work, and maybe just one cultural club.

The schedule isn't that heavy, so I don't see why you wouldn't add microbiology (which based on how long it is, I assume has a lab somewhere in there). However, I personally wouldn't want to have to deal with four 75 minute classes and a lab any day, much less twice a week.

If I had classes for 8 hours straight with 15 minutes in between I would die. Are you sure you want all your classes on two days of the week? Personally, I like to spread my classes out more...2 or 3 on each day. I wouldn't want to have to go to 4 classes plus a lab all on the same day, that would suck. And if you're not working or doing any extracurriculars, what are you going to be doing on all these days where you don't even have any classes??

Anatomy and physiology is a tough, tough course. Unless you're very well versed in it already, I say don't add microbiology this term. Other than that I think it looks good, as long as you don't mind back-to-back classes. I'm doing a similar thing, with classes from 10 am to 3:50 pm with only two 10 minute breaks on MW, and I'm not too worried about it.

Anatomy seems to be really the only challenging class in that list, you should be fine. Then again, I know a lot of people who find economics challenging for some reason...I found it easy and fun to be honest. Guess it all depends on the prof.

Well, I said on my first post that i do not plan to work, but that is only if I add microbiology. But maybe not, I think my counselor and a lot of people here agree that anatomy is tough, so I should only be taking 13. It would be nice to only go to school on 2 days, so I will have a lot of time to plan other things that i want to do. However, I have never tried it before. I don't really know how hard it would be to have 4 classes and lab in one day.

I felt that maybe I can do it, but then to be realistic, i have a class from 9am to 1:15 TTh, all of them lectures, and sometimes, i felt drained. Going to classes from monday to friday is getting tiring. At least I only have to go to class for 2 days, right?

It's manageable. I wouldn't add another class though. I'm assuming you wanted to have classes only on T/TH. Otherwise, I'd suggest breaking it up so you have classes spread out over the week. You may think that it's a great idea to have M/W/F free but it can get old very fast to have that much free time. You may find it boring and a bit lonely as everyone else will be out of the dorms in classes.

I think I'd shoot myself if I had more than two classes TTH. I only have two this semester, back to back, and it's already a killer. I'd also like to know what you plan on doing MWF?

I've taken A+P and it's pretty challenging; I'd wait and take micro another semester.

I've taken micro too, and I didn't think it was that bad (at my school anyway) but to me, anatomy seemed like 2 whole classes with as much time as I spent out of class in open lab (we actually use cadavers which is pretty rare in undergrad, and had open lab 4 nights a week, which was optional, but it was definitely beneficial to be there as much as you could). I don't know how it will be at your school, but either way it'll still be a lot of material to memorize.

You guys have convince me to change my schedule.
Anatomy is hard in my school.
I have nothing much to do on MWF.
I'm just lazy.lol

So, I'll have anatomy and physiology on Tth
and the rest of my classes MW, 3 of them.

But I am thinking to have only 2 classes on MW and I'll have one online class. How does online class work? I can either choose to take the writing intensive class (American Society and Music) online or in class at 12 pm MW. Would you guys recommend online? I don't really know how that works. Which is easier to take online or in class?

If the writing intensive is required, or something you feel you'd gain substantially from, then take that. Otherwise, if the online course is an easy source of GPA padding that meshes with your lazy nature, then go for that. Also, the plan to now shift your load around, as you've proposed, is a much better idea.

For the love of god don't put yourself in class continuously for that long. I'd say add microbio though, depending on how hard it is at your school--anatomy and physiology can be tough, but without a job or significant extracurricular commitments you should be able to manage another class.

I think that you should add micro too but you need to switch another class to MWF so that you have a BREAK. Maybe time for LUNCH? 8 hours straight with no break will kill you in to time. I think you should switch that econ class to MWF. That would be a nice schedule.

Something like this
TTh
10:30-11:45 am Intro to Government (3)
12:00-01:15 pm History of Ancient Near East (3)
1:30- 2:45 pm Human Anatomy and Physiology (Discussion) (4)
3:00- 4:15 pm Human Anatomy and Physiology (Lab)

MWF

OR

10:30-11:45 am Intro to Government (3)
LUNCH BREAK

Total Units: 13

MW

LUNCH BREAK
Microbio MW 1:30 to 5:05

thanks everyone for all the suggestions.
pyles_m, I decided to not add microbiology because It might be too much for me. It's going to be ver stressful to take 17 units next semester with 2 science classes.

So, my final schedule would be M-Th.
Anatomy on TTh, and 2 classes on MW, and one online class.
A total of 13 units.

I'm going to take microbiology summer in a community college probably with introductory physics.

I'm really glad that I ask for suggestions in this forum because sometimes I can be irrational when making decisions or sometimes I just don't see what is wrong with it.
So again, thanks!
