Spring Term Admission for International First Year Students

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about the Spring term application for 1st year student. As far as I know, some college offer spring terms for freshmen but some only for transfer students. Does anyone have a list of colleges that offer spring admission for internation 1st year? One more question is that if I graduate this November, which is 1 year later than friends of my age ( who will enroll this fall), should I apply for Spring term next year so that I don't have to wait till Fall 2012? Will there be any disadvantages?

Thank you very much :D

There is no simple list of spring admissions for international students. You will have to check each university separately.

It is fine for you to wait to enroll in fall 2012. You should make a plan for how you will spend the time between graduation in November and enrollment next fall. Think of it as a “gap year”.

You need to read through everything at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) Then make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest to where you live.
thank a lot :D

I’ve graduated on November 2010 and I’m waiting to enroll this Fall. Not many universities endorse Spring admissions. The top ones usually have only Fall admissions, which greatly contributed for me to decide to take a “gap semester”.
