SRAR Website

Hello,

I was wondering if there’s any way for me to view my Self Reported Academic Record. I applied to Pitt in early august with it and while I filled out my Penn State application, I believe it asked to link my account. I’m concerned that it wasn’t linked properly. Is there someway I can view it?

I contacted Penn State about it and they said that I need to log into it.

Thank you.

My son just just got the same direction from Penn State - to check the SRAR part of the application because they couldn’t figure out why it was still marked as only “received”.

Anybody know how to do this?

@PAHoosier I contacted the company who runs the whole “self reported transcript” (ScarletCS) and they haven’t gotten back to me yet.

You can go here to a login screen, but my son never set up a password for this site, and his MyPennState password doesn’t work here.

https://www.selfreportedtranscript.com/student/srt/srt_complete_report.aspx

I was able to log in to the website and although it has listed my son’s SRAR as being LOCKED on 9/3, they didn’t send it to Penn State until 9/21. Hopefully, that explains a big part of the delay.

@PAHoosier The information shown when you log in is the information sent to Penn State, right? Thank you so much for showing that to me, I was able to log in and see everything and it really helped me out!

We ended up being able to log in, too. According to the SRAR website, the SRAR was locked on 9/13 and sent to Penn State on 9/21. However, at MyPennState, the SRAR was checked as received on 9/19.

I assume the information I see is correct. I am not for sure though. I could see that PSU may mark info as received once the SRAR site marks it as “locked” but possibly not “completed” until they receive the actual data. I have not idea why that would take 18 days though! I will keep everyone posted.

@tonypa @PAHoosier was wondering how were you able to access the srar.penn state id does not seem to work and my D does not remember creating a id on this srar website. so what steps did you follow to view the sar…Thanks in advance for the info

@sulu My son clicked the “Forgot Password” button and was able to reset from there.

You need to know the email he used - probably the one he used for the PSU application. Then click “forgot password”

@tonypa @PAHoosier Thanks for the info .I will ask my D to try this approach when she is back from school today

Everything is sent to PSU, besides my SAT/ACT scores. I sent them back in February and I recently sent more earlier this month but the box isn’t checked. They sent me an email today saying it takes 2-3 weeks to process scores since they’re delivered, but wouldn’t they have processed my scores sent in February? Should I contact admissions?

It seems strange that they need that much time to process ACT/SAT scores, but I would probably give them a little time before calling. I also received an email today from admissions regarding the SRAR. It states that the SRAR will show as “Received” for approximately 2-3 weeks while the information is reviewed. If there are no issues with the SRAR, that status will change to “Completed”.

As an update, after logging into the SRAR website and verifying that my sons SRAR was sent to PSU on 9/23, I contacted PSU again because the admissions website still has it listed just as “received” and not completed. (Same status it has been for over a month).

They asked for information from the SRAR website so I sent screenshots and a PDF of the actual SRAR. Waiting to hear back. The person I spoke with has been very nice and promised to send the problem up the food chain if he couldn’t see anything wrong.

Hopefully we will have a resolution soon.

Question - are there many people who’s SRAR item on the admissions website actually says “completed” and not just “received”?

No change here. It is still shown as “Received” at my son’s MyPennState page. As I mentioned above, we received an email on September 28th that stated everything was done on our end, and the status would change to “Completed” in about 2-3 weeks after Penn State had a chance to review the SRAR. It’s been about a month now since the application went in.

Just heard back from admissions - they said that after checking further, nobody’s SRAR is marked as “completed” because they haven’t started reviewing them yet. This jibes with what a couple of my son’s friends see as well.

So my son’s SRAR was finally marked as “Completed” today at MyPennState. He submitted his application on 9/13. His application status was also updated to read:

“Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here.”

@tonypa My application is not marked as “Completed”. I had to email Penn State about a credit issue on my SRAR, so that could possibly have affected it.
