I know that on the FAFSA you do not have to report Social Security Disability. What about on the CSS Profile? Is disability included when they ask for the "untaxed social security benefits received"?

Bumping this up for you, but my understanding is that it is included in the CSS Profile. I don’t think the CSS Profile leaves any stone unturned:-)

Just wanted to clarify – on FAFSA you don’t have to report the untaxed portion of SS Disability. However, in some situations disability payments are taxed and would be included. My DH is disabled and gets SSDI. However, I am employed and our combined income is high enough that some of the disability gets taxed. The IRS has a worksheet that you complete when you do your taxes that tells you how much is taxed.

The taxable amount will be included in your Adjusted Gross Income on your 1040 form, and that AGI will be used when you fill out FAFSA.
However, for FAFSA you don’t have to also report the untaxed portion. CSS apparently does include it. (I’m assuming that from this question – I haven’t had to file CSS since DH started getting disability.)
