Ok I know this is a really odd question, but I would like to know the answer.

Can you take the lower level test if you qualify, and it not count toward your upper level test that you will take next year? Well basically, can I take the lower level test for practice and have it not count toward the 3 test you get to take that actually count? I qualify for lower level test.

Sorry if it is confusing, but please feel free to post

None of the tests that you take this year will count towards the ones the "count." Or that's how I understand it anyway. If you qualify for the lower test then I assume that you are in 7th grade and are either applying this year to a junior prep or getting a jump on next year's application season. As far as I know, ssat goes from a year to year basis, starting in October. If you are applying for eighth grade next year, then the lower level is the one you should be taking anyway. There is virtually no difference in the math between the two levels, at least when comparing the practise tests that come with the ssat book. The vocab is a tiny bit harder and I can't see much difference in the reading section.

So, I don't THINK that any of the tests taken between October and June of this year will even still be on file next year. I don't THINK so. But I could be wrong. I'd call the ssat people and ask them if you're worried about it.

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to practice and make sure it wouldn't count againest me. :-)
