i have two questions about ssat...

does school look more into raw scores or the percentile? people said both...werent sure.

i took two ssat...... one in oct. 15? and one in end of oct.
then i realized one test had good reading but not verbal.... other good verbal but not reading.... so would school use both scores hopefully?

THANKS EVERYONE~~! and Good Night~!

As long as your scores are pretty good, don’t worry.
Good luck! ^^

I think schools look more into percentile because that will tell them how you compare with other applicants. However they will also look into raw scores.
You should send both tests to the school. Admission officers always check every score you send.

okay… thanks guys!

Because the SSAT percentiles were recently re-normed, a lot of schools are now looking at the raw scores to make an apples-to-apples comparison. A 90% percentile back then is now a lower number

Oh i see hopeful now… a little
thx @ GMTplus7

According to this website
[Important changes to the SSAT | Aristotle Circle](http://aristotlecircle.com/blog/important-changes-ssat)
the only changes in percentile have been that international students are not lumped in with domestic students. ( scroll to the bottom )
From what I have seen from the posts on cc, this leads to higher math percentiles for US students and lower for internationals.

To the OPs question. I would imagine that the percentiles give a quick look and if it needs looking into further, they’d go to scaled, then raw. I somehow doubt that they split hairs as much as people tend to think.
