SSAT Scores

This isn't for me, this is for my little brother.

He got his SSAT scores back, and they are pretty bad. His percentages in each section are horrible, but his estimated national percentiles are all in 90s...I don't get it.

Out of the 2400 he scored 2076.

He's retaking, but I'm still very confused. Schools look at the actual percentages, not the national percentiles, right?

unfortuantely yes… schools at the actual percentage. That’s waht they use to compare applicants.

right. a 2076 is, no offense, kind of bad. A 50 ish 60 ish.
He should take the December SSATs, and just try again.
What schools are he applying to, it depends on the schools he’s applying to

it was high 60s. bad nevertheless.
i don’t know where he’s applying to but according to boardingschoolreviews.com, he’s applying to some schools with lower average SSAT scores. definitely retaking.
he has wonderful extracurricular and good grades. we’ll see what happens.

thanks!! :)
