italianboarder, BrooklynGuy,

Thanks for the encouraging message. I can breathe a little bit. I guess I am more nervous than the kids who are taking the tests.

Thanks for the reply. I am feeling better. ^_^

Just received son's August 4th SSAT test results yesterday. Significant improvement in the one area that was previously a problem. His method: 30-45 minutes per day, EACH DAY (no wavering, must be everyday). Understanding not only question types but also, the answers in full. We found it was more beneficial to master 10 or 12 problems completely rather that attempting to fully comprehend 60 questions in one sitting.

Other two areas were on track, as in the June test.

Just a note - the wiki concerning RL is basically correct. When boys interview, they are also given the OLSAT which is an IQ test. It's not as accurate as some other IQ tests, and only takes about 30 or 40 minutes, I believe. There is no way to prep for it other than being reasonably well rested.

I believe, that as long as you get over 85% on the SSAT, you will be fine... Once you are OVER 85%, just start concentrating on the school essays and the interview. Yes, i agree... The SSAT is NOT A HUGE FACTOR on the apps. I think that the essays and the interview are. I know a person who got a 51% on his SSAT overall, but did GREAT on his interview and essays. He got accepted to Andover, Exeter, St. Paul's, and Deerfield. He chose to go to Exeter. So dont be discouraged when you have a low score. The schools usually look for curious and 'unique' children..... good luck!

I got a 99%, so I'm not fretting(About the SSAT anyway).
