***St Andrews in Scotland Class of 2022 Applicants Discussion***

I would be very surprised if you get it before the 3rd, as the 1st & 2nd are public holidays. Given that they will all have been out of the office since 22nd December, they may take a bit to get caught up.

@collegemom3717
Thanks!

When do you think they will start accepting kids this month?

My understanding is that staff returns Monday Jan 8. Faculty will be focused on getting grades from the fall finalized. But I would expect to start seeing some trickle out.

IR was very late last year, I wouldn’t expect anything until February unless your stats blow them away.

What about Bachelor of Science (Honours) Economics like me? Not being an IR applicant.

I received an unconditional to study biology, and I accepted!!!

congratulations! @SJ3175

Is it likely that I might receive a conditional offer or is more likely that it will be either a Yes or a No?

@BEWilliams, it depends on what exams you applied with & what you are scheduled to take this year.

Thank You @collegemom3717, I applied with all of my final exams. Is it true that the professor of your intended major will help to make a decision on whether or not to accept someone?

UK unis admit by subject, so professors from your subject make the admissions decisions, not an AdComm. If you applied with all your exams taken it will either be a yes (unconditional offer / offer subject to official confirmation of your results) or a no.

thanks again @collegemom3717

good luck @BEWilliams

@SJ3175 Congratulations! I was just wondering, when did you apply?

Speaking of applications I sent off my final information on 30th of November, when do you think I will hear back?

Heard back yesterday. Unconditional offer for Faculty of Arts Honours, Social/Cultural Anthropology.
SAT: 1430

GPA: 93.3/100 (unweighted)
No APs, no SAT IIs
Lots of extracurriculars, lots of service hours and good recs.
Super excited! Good luck everyone!

Can I wait to apply for scholarships until after i have heard my decision?

Have we ever seen a straight out rejection at this stage for American applicants?

Not that I can remember- of course, the return rate for people who have been rejected is typically pretty low.

I received an update on my portal today, my application for MA(Hons) Management is unsuccessful but my MA(Hons) Management and Spanish application is still pending. What could this mean??
