St. Andrews or Taft?

I have narrowed my schools to Taft or St. Andrews (Delaware).
I am in 10th grade and applying for a refresher in 10th grade
My stats are
89% overall ssat
90% Verbal
83% Reading
75% Math
I have a unweighted 3.8 GPA for my 8th, 9th, and first semester of 10th grade? I am on 2 varsity sports and 2 clubs at my school.

They both have simillar SAT scores of 1300 but 28% of Taft graduates go to the Ivy League. The interview at St. Andrews was great but the Taft interviewer was terrible. I like the close community of St. Andrews.

What are my chances of getting in? and which one would you go to?

i dont like to do chance evaluation

but if i were to choose, i would choose taft

Taft and St. Andrew's aren't super-competitive, so I think you have a fair shot, especially if you are recruitable material. Don't worry about which to go to until you get in. :)

i would choose taft

"Taft and St. Andrew's aren't super-competitive"
Is that a joke?

oh my god... stop making fights out of nothing. everyone can have their opinions about a school. don't you have anything better to do?

I like taft.
you have a good chance there. They're average ssat is 81.

I think you could get in at schools like SPS, Andover, Deerfield, etc. Andover's deadline is Feb. 1st, I believe. You still have time! lol.

I think you have a really good chance at Taft, and an even better chance at Taft.

I would go to Taft, though.

If you are applying to retake grade 10, did you register as a grade 9 or grade 10 student when you sat for the ssat?

This will make a substantial difference in your SSAT score.

bearcats, by super-competitive, I meant they don't have quite as low acceptence rates as AESD. They are competitive schools, just not the most competitive.

no, SSAT scores are compared to your grade. I am in 10th so i am compared to other 10th graders.

I think they are extremely competitive schools. They might not have the cutthroat atmosphere that AESDCH could, but they're still hard to get in to.

You have fair chances at them, George. Even if you aren't strong in Math, that won't hurt your application that much if they see you have good skills in Reading and Verbal. Make sure that your grades in Math at school are in the 80s at least, though. I'm betting you'll get into one of them. Are you an outgoing person?

why do you ask? i am pretty outgoing i would say
