St. Edward's University in Austin

Does anyone know much about St. Edward's University in Austin?

Thanks.

hmmmm....does anyone know anything about this school at all?

My neighbor's daughter is there on an athletic scholarship. I truly don't know a lot about the academics, however. Austin is so dominated by UT that it's hard for the many smaller colleges in town -- St. Ed's, Concordia Lutheran, Huston-Tillotson -- to get much notice. I can say I love the older buildings on campus. I know they've recently built some new dorms so I suppose they are looking to expand.

Nice location on trendy South Congress, about two miles from the Capitol. The only programs I know about are an evening MBA program and a wonderful program for kids of migrant workers.

I graduated from there in May 2007 (evening program for adults). It is an excellent school with phenomenal professors and a great environment. I loved every single minute I spent there and miss it dearly. Their Master's program is ranked 20th in the Western U.S. and the school is terribly underrated if you ask me. It's a shame that St. Ed's has to live in the shadow of UT.

St. Edwards was recently added to my son's list, but we haven't visited yet. I know several folks whose kids love it there. I was a bit concerned about it being a Roman Catholic school since we aren't Catholic; however, one guy I know who goes there is an Orthodox Jew and l really likes it there.

My daughter has a good friend there. The friend likes it very much and highly recommends it.

not worth the money

because.....?
