@patchy36 You should Google “Common Data Set”’ with the college name. There is a section with test score ranges. You want to be at the midpoint or higher in on both scores to consider a school a match.
I check with the scores they are a little bit above the 25th percentile and I have good grades and excellent ec’s plus I will have two alumni recommendations which will help hopefully hope to apply early decision. @intparent
It is a reach if your scores are at the 25% mark. You may get in, but be sure you have matches & safeties you’d be willing to attend.
When my daughter was at an Admissions event there, they suggested not sending in your SAT scores unless they were over 1280. I don’t know if that is just a way to raise their stats though.
@travelfamily My daughter was accepted with 1250 SAT, but chose not to attend because $18,000 merit and $2,000 need based aid wasn’t enough for us to afford it.
@meggie7 : not sure if you’re still wondering (it wasn’t clear what year your daughter is so she might be a junior right now…or a senior).
But d she wants a LAC with a down to earth feel have her look at Grinnell, or Carleton.
@meggie7 so where did your daughter end up attending college? after reading through this post, I’m dying to know and may have my son check out SLU as well!
