New facebook page created: SPS Class of 2014

If there is any piece of advice I can offer to you newcomers, for the love of God, do not say anything ignorant in the new facebook group. It will haunt you in the years to come. Luckily I do not say this from personal experience, but I have witnessed many a person say things they later regret.

And understand that upper formers have been known to have a bit of fun with your facebook page. So don;t take it too seriously. :)

Does every American teenager have facebook? I hate SNS.

I am the only one who doesntā¦

I donāt have one eitherā¦

Hooray for facebook! If anyone wants to add me just lemme know through pm :P

same!^ if anyone wants to add me just pm mee

Does anybody know how often the formal dances are? Also what is appropriate attire for such dances?

Thereās a formal dance every termāFall Ball, Winter Formal, and Spring Fling. Itās not like a prom where people mostly wear floor length dresses. Most dresses are knee length or shorter, and depending on the dance, the styles change. Winter Formal most people wear darker colors, Spring Fling thereās lots of pink and other bright colors. Basically, somewhat formal cocktail dresses.

Thanks for the info. What do guys wear (more relevant since I am a guy)? Tux? Suit? Khaki/Blazer ?

Most just wear like a blazer, with a tie and dark pants.

But tuxedos arenāt unheard of are they? (Iām basically trying to convince myself that I need a tux because there is a ridiculously stupidly awesome sale right now).

Yeah I have seen guys wear tuxedos
So if you want one, then get one.

Have you finished growing? If youāre male, you probably havenāt finished growing. It would be a shame to spend a lot of money on a tux, only to grow out of it.

get the tux and live a little. When youāre young, this is the time to take calculated risks. Donāt be like everyone else, be your own person. Enjoy!

Yeah I actually have finished growing. I think Iām gonna go ahead with it :D

My understanding is that a few changes are being made to the dress code:

Now allowed for classroom use (but NOT seated meal attire): jeans and sweatshirts
Hereās a link to the new dress code policy:

I donāt think I like thatā¦

Thats not what it saysā¦
