<p>My D was awarded a Stafford Loan as part of her Fin Aid package with ED admission. Later we sent copies of our tax forms so that the school could "finalize" her FinAid offer. We have heard nothing since.</p>
<p>How do we actually go about getting the loan? Should we contact the FinAid office now?</p>
<p>We also are awaiting info on the Stafford Loan. Our daughter called the finaid office at her college. They have not yet done their info for the staffords for new students, but this will be done soon. Here is our experience...our son received the info from his university including a lender (in his case the DOE). To complete the loan, he had to fill out a master promissory note online, along with some kind of counseling thing. DD has been told that the same thing will happen in her case. One thing...has your D accepted her Stafford loan as part of her finaid package? That must be done before the university will do their loan processing piece so you D can complete the promissory note. A call to finaid should give you all of your answers.</p>
<p>My D contacted her school (Mt Hoyoke) and they said paperwork for the loans will be signed during orientation, and not to worry.</p>
<p>So now we're not. (worrying)</p>
