OK,This is 4 everybody who have accepted their Official Financial Aid Awards and have Loans as part of their FinAid.
-What stuff are we supposed to do now?
-Do we have to go though loan counselling NOW?
-Should we take all the loans offered to un now or wait n take 'em whenever the need arises?(the answer might sound obvious but Ive herd that u either take the FinAid loans be4 the year starts or u cant take 'em at all.)
-Do we have to submit the Promissory Note(s) for the loans NOW?

I already did the loan counselling. It was easy. Why not do it now?
I would take them now, before they "run out of funds", like they say happens.
Yes, I'd submit the Promissory Notes as soon as possible. I just got a notice from my lender saying that I need to do that soon, before they do not have available funds.

But I'm apprehensive of takin the Parent Plus Loan n the other Unsubsidized Loan.Coz i really dont know if I'm gonna need the money ill be gettin from these loans,so why not wait until the need actually arises.(Though I WILL have 2 take 'em now,if they say that there mite be an issue of unavailabilty of funds l8r).
Also do we have to start paying ne of the loans during college itself?( I think the Parent PLUS Loan payment period starts after 1st yr of college, plz correct me if i'm wrong)

yeah i have no idea what to do. I accepted them last week, but am clueless on what to do next?.. can anyone help me out? thanks

What happen if I did not accept any loan?

Hey cud nebody help out here? All Finaid stuff is really important ya know.

In17:If u didnt accept any I guess you cnt take any,but u cud talk 2 the office about it.

im so flippin confused about loans

Has anyone not received their financial aid yet?

they couldnt possible run out of loans because they are not give out the loans. they work with loan companies that give out the loans. you can either take them now if you really need the money or you can save it and pull them anytime during the year, even the summer as that is considered part of the academic year.

I would assume that the earlier you turn in the promisary note, the sooner you'll get the financial aid money. From my experiences, it takes awhile for the financial aid office to process the paperwork with the lender. I don't know if they are working on the financial aid for next year yet, it would be best if you called the financial aid office at 858-534-4480 (save that #, put it on speed dial on ur phone). They are really helpful and are not at all anal despite the volume of people that go to them for help. They got me paid and they will help you get paid too!!
