I’d like to apply to Yale this year, but I am worried about my standardized testing scores. I’ve taken the ACT twice already, and I am not happy with my scores. The first time I took it in June I did well but I knew I could improve, so I studied over the summer and took the test in September, but my composite score went down by one point. I’m already planning of retaking the test a third time this December. I’m hoping my score can go up and I am studying as effectively as I can.
My major concern is that when I apply and send my three scores the admissions committee will be deterred by my three scores. Are there many cases in which someone who submitted three scores can get in? I generally hear that two should be a cap.
Thank you.
