<p>When is it coming out? Anyone know? It was supposed to be out by August 1st, then mid-August. Now what?</p>
<p>I am pretty sure it's gonna be identical to the 2005 app. The essays (including short answers) are exactly the same as mentioned on the site, and the EC stuff has no reason for change. If you want to get a head start, then work on essays/EC stuff on the old app to put on the new one.</p>
<p>Easy stuff like personal info you don't really need to get a head start on, because you can finish that in like 30 minutes.</p>
<p>When I talked to a Stanford admissions officer last Friday, she said it would be out in "a few more weeks."</p>
<p>It's so frustrating! I go onto the website, and it has the thing up saying "click on the link below" (or something like that), but there's just the title "Freshman App. 2006" and no link. Grrr. I was so excited because they took down the "The 2006 application will be up later this summer," then I found myself stupidly clicking a nonexistent link.</p>
<p>I've heard around the first week of september (6th or 7th)...but that's for the grad school app...I assume they'd be the same though.</p>
<p>It is probably due to the new admissions director coming up to speed and weeing what tweaks he can institute this early in his tenure.</p>
