<p>I applied on a whim and wrote below average (at best) essay due to being very busy with my course load. I guess I am lucky Stanford was not my first choice (4th maybe), but I will be facing the judgment from that school next week, so condolences to all of you who did not get in, and good luck where ever you end up next year.</p>

<p>It didn't 'match' my number with a SUNet ID. One thing I noticed though...my ID is 055116XX. I was just messing around and noticed that ID's ending with 18-29, 43-48, 57, 59, 95, 97- (7)11 were found a match for. </p>
<p>I only checked from (I think) 05511600 to 05511713 (a lot of time on my hands). It seems extremely unlikely that 12, 6, and 15 people with consecutive ID #'s would be accepted, especially with a very low admit rate. </p>
<p>I don't think I will be accepted, but I don't think this ID thing is an indication of that. Oh well, good luck to everyone</p>

<p>Also, by that method over 35 applicants would have already been accepted, and I only looked at 113 ID's. You do the math.</p>
