Stanford - 2007 Transfer Thread

Use your suid to log into Axess at axess.stanford.edu

You'll see a welcome letter congratulating your acceptance.

^ did u create it by putting in your ID?

Can't get on axxess, just a password failure... :( Uh oh....

@imran I created it by entering in my info in the lookup if you don't know your ID.

It says my ID has not been sponsered :-( ugh.

st. issac

the trick is here: https://sunetid.stanford.edu/main/SUNetIdApp/CreateApp

if it doesn't recognize your ID, expect a rejection in 9 min

edit//
"@imran I created it by entering in my info in the lookup if you don't know your ID." that's useless :P

^^ 7 minutes now :P

lostincode, did it work for you?

What's my ID? Where is it from?

email they sent you in early April, and the header said something like application id included

^^ your app ID from the email they sent you in the beginning of april

use your application # to create the sunet id.

it doesnt recognize students that are not accepted.

just wait 5 more minutes.

No match. Bummer.

^^ did you honestly expect to get in? i mean not to be rude; you might be entirely qualified, and an extremely strong candidate for admission, but with these odds, it doesn't take a super genius to see chances are almost non existent

ok, how does this thing work? i logged into app.applyyourself page but i dont know where to click

All he said was "bummer". He didn't exactly flip out.

'login' maybe?

Rejected, obviously.

so uh, i got rejected.

hmmm. i logged in and it just takes me back to my application. maybe i'm looking at the wrong email :P

"May 2007

xxxxx
xxxxxedu

Dear xxxx,

I write to tell you that we are unable to offer you admission to Stanford University for fall 2007. I appreciate the thought and effort you put into your application and into selecting Stanford as one of your choices for transfer. The overall strength of our transfer applicant pool and relatively small size of our undergraduate class means that we disappoint the majority of our applicants each year.

To give you some context for the difficult decisions we made this year, your official letter includes a sheet with the answers to the most commonly asked questions about the transfer admission process at Stanford. I hope it will help answer some of the questions you may have about our decision.

You are an exceptional student, highly thought of by your teachers and advisors. We wish that we had room for everyone with talent and energy like yours.

With best wishes,"

The rest get this too?

So uh, I also got rejected.
