Stanford 2008 Transfer

KGZoTU, you magnificent bastard you. :D

My gmail-used eyes assumed that blue underlined font on the left of Axess was spam and glanced right past it lol.

Had me peeing brown for a while there. Thanks a bundle!!

How long does it usually take to receive the email?

Not a problem.

Usually an hour, sometimes less...I think it's always come in within two hours.

Good luck. (;

is there any non-us citizens?

Oops. I didn't realize I had to use the mailing labels until after I'd sent some documents in.

Hmm, one of my more brilliant blunders...

I didn't use the mailing labels either, but it shouldn't be a problem if you just wrote the exact addresses out on the envelope.

Or is it? That seems a bit absurd.

I doubt it will make a difference. I'm betting that your envelopes get discarded when they consolidate your application, and I doubt it gets marked anywhere that this person didn't use the mailing labels! (;

hey KGZotU
you seem pretty active in the Stanford transfer thread.
Where you applying from? Are you confident? Just curious.

SKG,

Since you're asking I'll PM you the details. I'll post specifics after decisions, but I've got this irrational fear that if I identify myself on this thread I'm going to attract the attention of Stanford UGA like the eye of Sauron. (;

But, in general I think I've got a fairly good chance. I'm a big "nontraditional" applicant, with good recs and a good essay. Also have some boo-boos, but those can be a boon under the right circumstances.

Edit to add: Part of why I'm so active on the forum is because I've found I can accomplish great things when I'm part of a community based on accomplishing those things. The transfer forum is sort of like a community dedicated to transfering into great schools. (;

KGZotU,

Thanks for the PM.
Wow..I'll be darned if you don't get into Stanford.

Eh, thanks for the vote of confidence. (;

Mind pming those details too KG? I'm curious to see what you mean by non trad and where you're from.

Btw, name have anything to do with Kevin Garnett?

It's actually an acronym adapted from a screen name I used playing Quake I back in the day. Nothing to do with Kevin Garnett. (;

Anyone else who'd like to know feel free to PM. (;

i love kg, hate the celtics.

Celtics = Boston = Automatically Cool.

Hey KGZotU I am a somewhat non-traditional applicant as well. You should PM me. :)

go celtics!

Trixee how non-trad are you? I'm curious. Mind pming me?

"Edit to add: Part of why I'm so active on the forum is because I've found I can accomplish great things when I'm part of a community based on accomplishing those things. The transfer forum is sort of like a community dedicated to transfering into great schools. (;"

Well said. This is what keeps me coming back to these forums every day. I seriously wish I had found out about College Confidential sooner. If I had done some reading on here, there's a good chance I would have found the right fit the first time around.

Many non-traditional students applying to Stanford I see. -- I hope to join you all next Fall!

Anybody have the word on how many transfer applicants there are?

So how many community college transfers do we have here?
