football can make a big difference. Like TCU has a lot of people here interested now.

anyone applying to washu?

is that the one in St. Louis?

yeah. it’s like hopkins status

I’m applying to WashU in St. Louis. Around here, barely anyone wants to leave California. Yet there still aren’t too many people interested in Stanford. Although I’ve heard a few people who would have no shot talking about applying, which is interesting.

I feel like I have a .0000001 shot, which might as well be no shot at all. sigh. yeah. the only think idn’t like about washu is that it’s in the middle of nowhere.

how many of you have visited Stanford’s campus?
And if you have did you love it as much as me?

I’ve never visited…i wanted to but I live on the east coast and it’s a bit too far. but i friends who go there and love it. they say it’s beautiful. one of my friends loves their library.

I’ve done virtual tours, looked at picture galleries, watched videos, read tons of articles, forum posts, and student opinions; but, I haven’t been able to physically visit. I really, really want to, but I just can’t afford it.

trust me, it’s amazing!
but the information session was like super intense and intimidating.

Haha oh, I trust it is.

Though, at this point, I don’t want to visit until decisions are out, since they’re so close. I don’t want to visit only to learn a week later that I can’t go. Obviously, haha.
It makes me excited that I’ve read they’ll pay for your travel expenses on admit weekend, cause I would actually get to go! Yay!

i think im going to make a separate thread for the decision generator, im going all legit like with it, pretty much like a regular decision posting thread

how do you make it so the formatting doesnt take effect like in the RD template for the 3 Decisions? i cant figure that out

I’m not going to do a random generator… I don’t want to jinx myself.

I’m not sure how they did it, but I do know one way to do it. You can insert some code with nothing inside it inside whatever code you want to show up.

May sound confusing, but basically it goes like this:

Let’s say you want to make a smiley face. Normally you put this, without the spaces:

: )

to make a

:)

If you just want to show :****), then put an empty bolding code in there, like so, without spaces:

: [ b ] [ / b ] )

and voila.
Same thing with code.

Decision: Accepted

[ / b ]] [ / b ]][b[ b ] [ / b ]]Decision: Accepted**
–>
[b****]Decision: Accepted**

It’d be pretty tedious to do it for a bunch of stuff, but it’s one way to do it.

perfect, thanks

Damn time differences, I missed the whole conversation. Lol. Btw guy here, and yes I applied to Stanford as a joke (because I can’t get in).

Prussia, I think you’re very brave for wanting to start the decisions thread this year, considering what Oprah! wen through last year lol.

Wow, you guys have been SLAUGHTERING Yale while I was off visiting my Grandma. To catch up:

I’m a dude. My race is… complicated. Aleutian-Argentinean-Jewish-German. Or something like that. We’re not really sure anymore. Suffice it to say, I’m multiracial.

I’ve visited the Stanford campus a few times, since I live an hour and a half away. It’s absolutely gorgeous, of course, but I try not to think about it too much, in case I don’t get in.

And, Prussia, I have faith that you can handle the Decisions thread. :P

Have any of you seen Orange County?
How far would you go to get into Stanford?

Jews represent starmie!!

Russian-Hungarian-Greek-Turkish-German-Jew here…

i just call myself “American”

Austrian-German-Swedish-Comanche-Choctaw-Jew! How’s that for unique?
