I forgot to say, Good luck to everyone who applied!

So, Nitro Hawk asked for a new topic: Who here has visited the campus? I went last December and it was pretty amazing.

So, Nitro Hawk asked for a new topic: Who here has visited the campus? I went last December and it was pretty amazing.

I’ve visited!!! Love it! =)

Good luck to everyone!

i was there for EPGY this past summer, good times…

Count me in this group…

puts a check mark next to teahouse’s name on the guest list

Good luck, everyone. Here are the last year’s data for SCEA:

5363 applied, 689 admitted – 12.8 acceptance rate.

Let’s hope this year we are the 689 that get admitted (I know right now there aren’t that many of us on here, but I bet this forum will grow)!

It feels good to be done! Good luck to everyone. And thanks for the stats, I’m not sure if I should take it as a blow to my self-confidence or just a reality check, ha ha.

Anyway to change the topic a bit; we’re all obviously dying to get into Stanford, but say we get rejected (god forbid): what school would be your next choice?

I’m trying to push Stanford out of my mind right now by trying to obsess over another school; what’s Dream School #2 for you guys?

(Equally Unlikely) Dream #2: Princeton lol

Would also be thrilled to attend: Duke

My #2 school is Yale. Probably followed by UC Berkeley. Probably followed by UCLA. If the financial aspect doesn’t work out (read: if I don’t get into Yale and don’t get Regents’ at Cal and UCLA), then I’ll have to go to UC Davis (already accepted). Or maybe UCSC. But those are seriously last resort.

I’m from class of 2015.But…

I Just wanted to say GOOD LUCK. I hope you all become Cardinals. I know I want to be one.

My #2 is Harvard, and my #3 is MIT.
But more realistically, if I don’t get into Stanford, I think Columbia would be a lower-reach that I would really love to attend. NYC, baby!
I also planned on applying to UCLA and UC Berkeley, but… I’m starting to wonder if I should even bother. I really want to go, but I’m OOS (and poor), so I doubt I would get anywhere near enough FA to attend. Sigh.
I reaaaalllly don’t want to stay in Florida.

UC Davis is a lovely school, so don’t stress out too much. UCSC on the other hand…bleh. :P

Two other impossible schools - Harvard/Yale.
Then Rice.

Probably Duke for realistic, Harvard for less realistic.

Prussia!: If you can swing the Regents’ Scholarship at either LA or Berkeley, you shouldn’t have to worry about paying. Of course, I’m not even sure they give them to out-of-staters. Also, your username reminds me of Oprah! from last year. And he got in, so maybe (hopefully) the exclamation point is good luck. :P

KevRus: What’s wrong with UCSC? I’ve never visited, but I know a few people who go there. I was basically just considering it on a whim.

I live somewhat close to UCSC and it is really beautiful there, but I actually don’t know too much about it; not enough to make a judgement.

I’m just not a big fan of UCSC’s residential college system…I think it works way better at UCSD.

Also, if you think UCSC is pretty, go visit UCSB. :)
