If I recall correctly, decisions actually came out last year on December 12th. Since that’s a Saturday this year, maybe we can hope for the 11th? Who knows. I kind of wish they would just tell me now, even if it’s a rejection…

i wish stanford could do rolling and let us know their decision immediately after they’ve read our apps, because then the suspense wouldn’t take 10 years off of our lives. :P

Okay so I didn’t get an email with a link to see if they got everything, but I did check common app today, and they downloaded my app!

And I am all for keeping this alive, but I do have like 9 other apps to finish for when I get rejected. :)

<-----From Boise (the fiesta bowl was probably the greatest thing that has ever happened to our town)

@Prussia are you really going to be able to forget?
@Rajna the impression I get is Stanford isn’t terribly international friendly, however, those that apply international seem to come from all over, and I wouldn’t say they are selective in that respect.

axess.stanford.edu lets you check

International Admission into any US college is highly selective in almost all cases, so I guess international admission into the ivies and other very selective colleges like Stanford are exponentially harder and who knows maybe they look for internationals from countries with extreme political or social problems (I read about a girl who got into Harvard and was from Haiti and her goal was to return to her country to rid it of corruption (sounds idealistic to me but w/e it’s a nice goal nonetheless)).

elle4luck I’m in the same boat as you. :)

just hit the submit button

Submitted my application a couple hours ago.

Good luck everyone!

how do you get on axess?

nevermind found it :)

Did axess work? What information does it have?

Alright so I just submitted. OH MY GOD.
So nerve-wracking.

And HECK no, I won’t be able to forget! It may be winter; but, for the next six weeks, I’m sweating buckets. Still, the sentiment was true, at least. Haha.

Our fates are sealed in 4 and a 1/2 hours (? idk what time Stanford operates on)

cheers…

new topic anyone?

Axess works, but most of our applications haven’t been processed yet, considering that it’s still the weekend. I’m going to check again on Monday.

I’ve already checked axess twice. God. I’m gonna be a wreck come December…

Submitted everything at 8:55…Now for the depressing wait…

Augh, me too, sg12.

It’s weird how much rushes through your head once you hit that button. Suddenly I felt like my essays were Kindergarten-quality and everything else equally awful. Gwaahhh. It’s like someone lopped my height in half.

My mind can hardly even wrap around the fact that it’s just a month and a half until decisions. That’s… Not even that long! I won’t even be on Christmas break yet! Not even Christmas break!!
Santa Santa, don’t crush my dreams so quickly.

Yeah, I need to go to bed. :(

yeah, i share all of ur guys’ anxiety…i submitted mine a couple weeks back but im worried about my essays and that my stats arent good enough…but we’ll see

is there any way to check the status of our application?

Here here!

Stanford '14 baby!

Maybe.

Doubtful.

We’ll see.

Honestly, it’s such a relief to submit the app. Now, there’s nothing more I can do, and whatever happens, happens. Best of luck guys!

For everyone wondering about decision day, I know that the 11th is the date all the ivies release their early decisions so I think its pretty reasonable to assume that Stanford will probably release around then.

Also, HAPPY NOVEMBER!

We’ve already waited through part of October, I’m sure the rest will be nothing…
