That was an hour of my life going to something much more important - keeping up with other SCEA Stanfordians.

Oh! And I recently found out that FIVE people from my school applied SCEA to Stanford. WHATTTTTTTT? In our whole history, we’ve only had 4 people apply. FIVE FIVE FIVE FIVE FIVE. All of them did it for a joke. Oh my.

Yale has like 10posts/day. We’ve had more than that and the day has just began.

Hahaha. Perhaps this just means that we are better students --------->

We didn’t start this thread as early as they did -----> We don’t post as much -----> We spend more time on other things ---------> We do more homework -------> We get better grades -----> We are better students ------> The people posting on Yale’s forum as probably slackers :)

JKJK. I just think it’s funny to think of Yale SCEA’s as slackers.

I can’t wait for them to catch on to what we’re doing. Though they only have 13 days left to figure out that we’re trying to beat them.

haha
well technically since we have more per day we have all significantly reduced the amount of time we spend on schoolwork…since we spend tons of time keeping up with this all the time…
but lets not mention that part…

and yes, I forgot to ask my classical: how many of you are nerdy enough to have completed at least the entire single variable calculus and basic linear algebra and basic differential equations (starting multi-variable is even better) before applying to Stanford… oh and not to mention speculations using Quantum Loop Gravity and (Super)String Theory and… started Hamiltonian Mechanics?? :D

haha they dont even offer those courses at the highschool level
right now im taking calc 3 at a university, along with two other classes, and i hope to take linear or diff equations before this school year is over.
but im leaning torward not taking any college classess in the last quater so i can go to morocco :D

Our course includes an option with Differential Equations [upto second level ODEs] and “Matrix and Linear Spaces” [3X3 matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors etc etc] :D

lol how will we get even close to 2000 if we are posting at this rate. Someone should calculate the average rate of post and then take the integral from 0 to t (measured in minutes, actually use a bigger scale like days to make it easier) to see how long it should approximately take us to beat yale (I realize you don’t even really need to use calculus for a function this simple but it’s more fun!). Somehow I don’t think we’ll beat them before decisions come out but I guess I’ll be optimistic.

Woooow you all have been busy since the last time I was here… So right now I’m avoiding writing some essays for my other apps. This site is making that happen. :)

Actually, the necessary posts/day would be really hard to calculate. Considering all the factors that go into it, like the fact that we’re on a break now significantly changes the average, and seeing as how we don’t have another break until the decision comes, we have to make estimates without using the data since break started, but I’m guessing posts will pick up once the decision day nears, but any effect that has should be cancelled by the fact that the Yale forum will most likely experience the same growth in posts.

I would love if someone actually did a real math equation though to figure it out - I’m not volunteering, though, because it would take like 7 days.

Diivio, you really should get a facebook. I’m not a part of the group, though, since I obviously like my anonymity. It’s people like Torcher who worry me [JUST KIDDING! I’m just saying this because I know you found mfed]
