Before you applied I’m sure you saw that the acceptance rate for Stanford is around 1-2% tops which means about a dozen people out of a thousand. On top of that about half are athletes which leads about 5-7 spots for non athletes.
its like picking 5 numbers out of 1000 amd hoping you land one. So yes, virtually you have no chance. But I’m sure you knew the odds were against you.
Its super competitive regardless. Stanford looks for transfers that add diversity to their school and they certainly get that from older students with life stories and veterans.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE REGARDLESS!
(I’m in the same boat hoping to get in despite being neither of the above things)

Comments:
Pretty strong essays I would say.
Should I be worried that the stanford website still says it is still awaiting my high school and college transcripts if I already had them sent by mail in mid January using the mailing labels provided on the transfer website? (I turned in the common app on March 15th) It does have my SAT scores and common app stuff though.
Hey, guys… I also decided to try and do the impossible. In reply to Transferee123, I emailed Stanford about your very question (they said they were missing documents I know they should have received Feb.) and the reply was that they do not enter most transfer documents into the system until after the app deadline.
And my stats…

Comments: Along with trying to gain admission, I am also trying to get recruited athletically. I briefly was interested in Stanford as a freshman applicant and did contact their coach. But Eventually decided to attend my current college since they gave me a full ride.
Questions: None so far.
Does anyone else still have their transcripts pending? Both my high school and college transcripts are pending and they were sent/ requested Feb 10th so they should be there by now.
Both had my common app number displayed for the electronically sent ones from my college and the ones mailed by my high school (I made a mailing label).
@BladeX I believe they send the email after the common app was submitted. It guides you through setting it up the first time (you will need the pin provided to you). It is just your email and a password to access your application status. For reference I got my email for it March 2nd.
@summerdreams I didnt get any email to set up anything to check my Application Status. But I submit my application on march 14, a day before deadline… Does it even matter?
