I got a 33 in Math and a 31 in English, but I got a 26 on Reading and a 28 on Science. Does Stanford happen to look at my individual test scores and weigh Math and English over Reading and Science, or do they just glance at the Composite of 30?

If they only superscored the ACT--I got a 31 on Science on one of my other tests, and a 28 on Reading on a third one. xP

I remember reading that they DO look at your subscores. Not sure how much consideration they give it, though. I’d guess they would use the individual scores to see what your strengths are. I’m hoping this is what they do since I’ve never been good at math/science so maybe they’ll cut me a little slack since my english/reading scores are far higher.

i got a 35.
36 english, 35 math, 34 reading, 33 science, 32 combined english/writing.
yes they were in order like that.
yes it was very weird.
i got in RD, “early approval”.

2¢.

the act was weird. i got perfect subscores on several portions, but then got 35s on the sections. unless 18 + 18 = 35 now.

^ same here, 36 in science, 35 in math and others, and 34 in 1 category, and got a 35-- not in yet but in a bunch of other schools, some with scholarships. Tomorrow will be interesting

^^Lol, I always though OldCard meant you were a Stanford alum!

But schee410 was talking more about sub-scores within sub-scores, I think.

right, i meant for the math section, i got 18 and 18, but then 35 overall on the math part. same for science and reading or whatever that section was. the 31 in writing definitely kept me from getting a 36 but i don’t see how i didn’t get perfect subject scores.
