Hi guys
I'm new here ;)
I'm a freshman in my high school and I'm aiming for the full IB Diploma
anyways
I have always had a passion for art.... and Stanford (it's my dream college)
I've been told to start real early so I won't regret it esp during junior year and stuff.

I've been hearing things about going with your passion and doing more with it?
Yeah. I'm wondering if Stanford will have any consideration with art?

I'm a little nervous because I don't think they really care about art and it's all about the talents in engineering, leadership, etc. which I'm not really good at? XD
and also... there's a lot of other BETTER people out there who will also apply for the same college and who are better than me in the arts. So do I have less of a chance if that comes to play when I apply in my senior year, like if I'm not better? I'm confused.

I'm not the best artist, nor am I the best at my schooling too. I've been drawing for quite a long time... but I'm not like a pro or anything. I've always WANTED to be, but I just don't have the TIME to do it. I have school at 6 and I have water polo practice ending at 6 PM. That's 12 hours in school and I have homework so I'm tired and I do it but i don't have enough time to do my art!
My teachers also assign lots of hw at the weekends and I have church on Sunday forthe whole day so :(

I've always dreamt of having a good workspace and no interruptions at my drawing. I've been aspiring to finish my comic story (which I've daydreamed about since 5th grade lol) but sometimes I just can't do it with the school I have... I record my drawings with my crappy phone (it takes up a lot of space, and I'm planning to make a youtube once I get a proper camera). I have the files but I need to compress it. I also have a deviantart where I take requests and I also have a ROBLOX account where I've been known to enter their poster contests, fan art, and take requests from there. Throughout my childhood, my parents have made me enter art contests and stuff and I won some medals from there... I also contributed to the art gallery for my city too. I even entered the Google logo contest or whatever when I was 9 I think. I'm 14 now.

Anyways.. I just need advice on the whole "passion" spectrum of the application and what I should do about my art stuff with the tight schedule I get from my IB programs. Also, should I quit water polo? I'm not that passionate about it but swimming is my favorite sport but I don't know how to tread water yet (rofl) but I can swim laps anytime. It's just that I have to stay over at school until 6PM and all my classmates get out of school at 2. (a lot of free time omg) I'm not the best water polo (I'm playing underdog role at my team atm)

I'm getting mixed views of my art talent too. I've been going to Science Olympiad for 2 years now. I really really love the building challenges they do. I just love creating new things really. So fun for me. But the problem with my "art" is that how will it benefit me for the life ahead? I'm taking more consideration to my need to build new things or inventions. Like I had tons o fun at the rotor egg drop comp. I got 3rd place lel but I just love that feel of building and the competitiveness too. What does that feeling lie under?

Yeah. Help? I need advice on how I can admit and start my highschool life.
Stanford is my highest reach, and I've been wanting to go there since 6th grade. UC Berkeley, UC SF, UC Davis, UC Irvine are my average college wants.

Thanks. Sorry if I type too long too. :-)
