Stanford Application Dilemma

Hey guys, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I submitted my Stanford Application before the deadline on 1/3 (at around 11 PM PST, 1 hour before the deadline) and got a confirmation email, confirming payment submission. However, I logged back in to CommonApp on 1/4 at 7PM to check out my other schools, and realized that the green check was missing next to Stanford’s name, meaning that I didn’t submit the materials.

I then resubmitted my application on 1/4 at around 7PM, and I was not prompted to pay again-- just had to check the boxes with the formal signature at the end. Now, at 2AM on 1/5, I logged back it and it says my application has been downloaded.

Does this mean it is being considered for review? No matter what, I’m going to call the admission office when it opens as I am personally very confused by what happened. I actually have a confirmation number as proof of my submission, so I’m unsure what happened.

I did research and I found that no matter what, Stanford doesn’t accept late applications (even if it’s a technical difficulty)-- but I think my situation is a bit different as it did go through on my end/Stanford still downloaded my application. Any advice would be appreciated!

Call Stanford to ask.

Hey guys, just an update: I called Stanford and apparently they do have my file-- all is good.
I’ll leave this thread in case any future applicants run into this problem? Thanks.

I recall back when I submitted my application and various info. I was worried about everything getting there and acknowledged. It turned out I didn’t need to worry. The best solution when in doubt is check with admissions but I do believe they notify any applicant if they need something. Based on some of my fellow students I knew freshman year, despite Stanford advertising hard deadlines they are pretty forgiving when an explanation is given about something being late.
