Just think… No matter what day Stanford releases the decisions, we will know a week from tomorrow!
I’m just glad that I am getting my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow, because that means my wait will feel one day shorter! (because I won’t remember anything about the day because of the heavy doses of drugs)

The weekend is going to be rather unpleasant if decisions don’t come out on Friday

I won’t even be home this weekend for decisions. So hope they come out Friday

@imagineer10

I hope for your sake that makes the week quicker… I got mine out a year ago… The worst part is not being able to eat. I was trying to put on weight and I lost about 10 pounds within the first 3 days.
Also my mom refused to let me take painkillers so that didn’t help.

@infinitygirl23 Same! #soconfused
Does stanford traditionally send an email with an official release time, as other schools do? Or do they just drop em (like they’re hot)?

@Hawkace @Govgirl. If you read what I said…I did not say “rivals” but singular “rival” (they really don’t care about the other members of that athletic conference)…and, if indeed they are planning to announce on Dec. 11 according to everyone posting on H thread…high probability S’s decisions will come out the following day…Dec.12 as noted before. Expect an announcement this week from the admissions director Colleen Lim who will announce when the decisions will come out…

…“patientia est uirtus” or patience is a virtue…

Good luck to all!

@Govgirl, Last year the stanford admissions twitter feed announced on Tuesday that the results would be coming out that week. Then on Friday they announced that they were sending them out at 3pm.

I don’t think I can wait through the weekend! I’m barely counting on making it through this week!
I think I heard that they release decisions at 3 Pacific Time. But in some videos I’ve seen on YouTube people didn’t get their letters until like 4 430 ish.

This may be a stupid question, but why does stanford like to announce the day after some of these other schools? Just curious

Hi everyone! I applied REA with an Arts Supplement back in October and I’m super nervous for decisions! I don’t think I have a good chance of getting in. The only thing I really have going for me is my ACT score. And I put Chemistry and Biology as possible majors so I don’t know if that’ll have an impact on my app or not. But hey, we’ll probably know within the week right?

@lollipop6 stanford normally does this so that when other schools release the amount of early applications they received, Stanford can come out the next day to state how many more they have.

@emywemy610 rumor has it we will know by Friday! If not, then Monday at the latest. (Although I am hoping for Friday)

By FRIDAY?
I thought they come out on Monday! Oh no, now I’m gonna be a nervous wreck all week long.

My school had an acceptance rate of 75% at Stanford last year (3/4) so I hope that trend continues? So far this year one person has been accepted (1/1).

@mtnclimber Harvard does not have a conservatory… and you cannot apply “through” their music department

Someone at my school has already been accepted because of sports, and Stanford usually accepts a few students from my high school. So my chances are getting slimmer

@heldenleben Harvard has the New England Conservatory Joint Degree Program. You can select this option on the Common App. (https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/application-process/new-england-conservatory-joint-degree-program)

Sorry for the confusion, but yes @sjsprint that’s what I was referring to!

Hello! New user here who signed up today after spying on this thread for about 2 weeks now XD
I couldn’t stand the wait in solitude anymore, so I decided to join…

I really hope that Stanford releases their decision this week because it’s better to get the bitter taste of rejection as soon as possible… (although I’m hoping for the 5% chance of getting in!)

Welcome newbies! I’m glad that you can join in this moment of dread and excitement.
