Hey guys, how much does it increase my chances of admission if I withdraw my application for financial aid as an international student?
I am not entirely sure, but Stanford doesn’t use financial need as a factor in their decision making.
is there a stanford applicant portal type thing? I haven’t received anything from them yet…
After submitting your application, they should send an email with info on how to see if everything was submitted within a week or two.
^^that is correct. For those who are impatient…you can start checking on Stanford Axess:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/en and of the three choices click on check your application status:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/application-status
^^Usually within 10-14 days. For those who are impatient…you can start checking on Stanford Axess:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/en and of the three choices click on check your application status:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/application-status
Only 82 more days till April 1st! I am already tired of waiting!
You and I both @stahboy !
Sometimes, I wish I could hibernate.
Is there a separate account to check application status other than the aforementioned “Check your Status” option on Axess?
Like a personal account/applicant portal that many other colleges have?
No, unfortunately there is not. The only way to check your application status is through Axess.
Yeah and through Axess, you can only check your application status every 24 hours. It won’t let you do it twice in a day. Believe me, I tried.
Correct. I forgot to self report my scores, but I sent all of my official score reports. I emailed stanford admissions last night apologizing for this and emailed them all of my scores. Do you think they will accept them?
@kaufman123 If you officially sent all your SAT scores to them then you don’t have to self-report them.
You only self-report them if sending all of them is a financial burden
On the website it says you have to send a score report and self report, but I’m sure they aren’t going to freak out over it.
Yeah I don’t think every applicant self-reported all scores, but sent all OFFICIAL scores. I think the latter is much more important
Exactly, sending in reports is much more important. Is decision day April 1?
Yup! Only 81 more days!
I already feel rejected haha!
@kaufman123 I know how you feel crying
Anyone else done alumni interviews yet? Mine’s next week and I’m already a nervous wreck…
