Stanford Curriculum

Does Stanford have a general curriculum that everyone has to take like the ones at Harvard and Yale? i.e. are there compulsory subjects that you have to complete. Thanks for your time!

Stanford has “The Ways” which doesn’t force you to take specific classes but allows you to choose classes in broad areas like “Social Inquiry” and “Engaging Diversity”. It’s a different type of core since you get to choose what kinds of classes you take. You can read about it here: https://undergrad.stanford.edu/programs/ways/ways

Cheers @astrophysicistx

Not sure if I’m interpreting this incorrectly but according to this - https://undergrad.stanford.edu/advising/student-guides/language-requirement - if I got above the cutoff for the SAT II subject test does that mean I’ve already passed the language requirement?

Yes, My S was able to opt out of the language requirement because of his AP Spanish score.

Sweet, thanks @Dungareedoll
