Stanford EA chance?

So Im pretty sure I'm going to apply early to Stanford. However, seeing the competitive nature of college admissions nowadays has made me question my ability to succeed in this process. Just take a look at my stats, let me know what you think.

Male, Caucasian

SAT:2280 (CR 760 Math 720 Wr 800)
SAT 2:Chinese (800), MATH 2 (750), Lit (770)
AP: Chinese-5, Calc AB-4

GPA: 4.0

CS: I record audio textbooks for Blind and Dyslexic students. Ive been volunteering for 3 years and have accumulated about 250 hours (I volunteer every week 2 hours on Saturday).

Last year in China (full academic year), I taught English to the children of Migrant workers (China's mobile labor force: they do all he construction and dirty jobs of china, coming in from the countryside to find better life in the cities) for about an hour on Wednesday afternoons (all year - about 46 hours).

On the weekend, I took care of orphans who have undergone surgery for conditions such as cleft pallet (about 5 hours on Saturdays).

ES: I attend Chinese Language school every Sunday for two hours. (4 yrs)

I am a member of the Red Cross Chapter in my area and have undergone Emergency training for disasters. (3 yrs)

I am close to attaining my black belt in TaekwonDo (3 yrs).

I started a Red Cross Leadership club at my school (set up community service events and participate in local Red Cross events).

I am the head of the Chinese culture club at my school.

I founded the "Club Med" at my school (a club for people interested in pursuing medical studies. Brings speakers in to speak with kids, discussion, etc.).

I Interned at a local hospital for 9 hours (full day) every Friday this summer. I shadow doctors (mainly Cardiologists) on their rounds, and watch surgeries.

In China: Calligraphy classes on Tuesdays for 1.5 hrs a week.

San Xian (Chinese instrument) classes for 2 hours a week.

So Im a Senior this year. I just got back from School Year Abroad China, where I spent my Junior year studying Chinese in Beijing while living with a Chinese host family. The experience was amazing, and the academics were grueling. Sadly, in China no Science courses were offered in China, so I took 2 physics courses at a local college to get credit for Physics 1 at my school ( ultimately to jump into Chem 2 this year).

My current course load includes English, Contemporary U.S. History (took Chinese History last year, required by school to take this course), Theology (mandatory), Chemistry II, Multivariable Calculus, and Advanced Independent Study Chinese (level VI/VII).

I know a ton of kids have more AP's, better SAT's and so forth, but Im hoping that I still have a chance to get into some good schools (for Chinese and Medical studies).

Thanks for your time.

The academics are all there. Your ECs are interesting and you have a good story behind you. It's up to your essays/recs now.

You have a very good chance--make sure you emphasize the unique parts of your experience, and not the "I wanna be a doctor" stuff stanford gets from 10,000 applicants a year.

Wow.
Thats all I have to say.
Congrats on getting into Stanford!

I think your qualified, that's all I have to say

There is chance, but I don't know if it's a good one.

Beast - Cheh!

At first I didn't see that you were white. But now that I have wow!

They're really going to be impressed with your accomplishments in Chinese!

ECs: above average, GPA: above average, Scores/APs: average (with relevance to Stanford's expectations)

Oh u were caucasian? I didn't see that (just assumed that u were Chinese plus int'l applicant through your activities).

I think there's a good shot. Hope to meet you on campus.

Hey, just out of curiosity, how come you are into Chinese culture so much? People like you are just amazing.

Hah, thanks.

I lived in Singapore and Malaysia until I was 7 (from ~3 months onward), at which time I moved to the US. I guess you could say that my first culture so to speak was the Chinese one. I just love the communality that is at its core, and I've loved the people, language, food, history, culture (broad yeah I know), and everything else Chinese ever since day one. I wrote an essay about this actually. I think it turned out alright.

I came from China when I was 8. But I'm chinese though. That said, I really admire you for developing a true passion, especially a passion about a culture that is not really your own.

I REALLY think you should be able to get in, given your extreme dedication to your passion and academic excellence. Almost all of the stanford students showed passion, and i think you've got it.

i love how ur sn is chinese too. obsessed much?

Great job. I'm also curious how do you apply and get the amazing intern jobs that allow you to shadow doctors. I'm also a student immensely interested in cardiology, so I was wondering. I'm applying to UCLA but I want to start interning now like you so I can become accustomed to the great aspects of serving patients.

dooood
are u really Caucasian?
seriously... this shames me and my Chinese background... lol
