Your ISEF award is nice, and I think your chances at Stanford would be quite good if you had a few other honors of that level to back up your science/math interest. The problem is that, besides that ISEF, your other awards and honors like 'best math in school' or 'best science in school' pale in comparison. Your scores are fine, SAT and UW GPA perhaps just a bit lower than what is ideal. I see evidence of leadership within the school, that's good. Overall, I don't think you have a particularly -strong- chance at Stanford EA, but I think you are a competitive applicant and would put your chances there at perhaps ~40%. HPM are all reaches and I think you will probably gain admission to at most one of those three. For all other schools on your list, you will probably be accepted to the large majority.

Thank you amber! Any more opinions?

Easily Standford EA

thanks for your posts!!! any other opinions?

Two things..

Referring to amb3r's comment, I don't necessarily think one could expect to land in one of the ivies by simply applying to many of them. Maybe statistically one would be increasing a calculated probability of being admitted, but each college has its own independent admission office. If you just start shooting around randomly because you think you will inevitably hit one of ur targets, it is time to think otherwise.

Second.. dont listen to ppl when they say not to put school awards on ur apps. School awards are good. They aren't just "shabby" awards because 1) it means you are recognized as an elite student amongst teachers 2) winning in-school awards is not as easy as many think 3) in your case, it adds to a "recurring theme" of passion for math and sciences.

As for chances, I'm going to be a little harsh and say you will be rejected at all except Berkeley, Michigan, Cornell, and Northwestern.

amazing i thought hed get into any college

Everyone has a chance.

Harvard's a stretch

by the way, i also am in the Model United Nations

i thought the isef and intel awards were a hook
