So...what are my chances at:

Stanford EA
Yale
Princeton
UPenn
Johns Hopkins
Carnegie Mellon
Columbia
Northwestern
Penn State

Thanks in advance!

First of all, your scores are freaking amazing. I am sure that you will get in in at least one of your choices... your EAs are a little bit weak but the ping-pong is kind of a hook, I guess... don't get many #1 in state ping-pong dudes applying to these colleges, so it gives you points for your uniqueness...

Stanford EA - Match
Yale - High Match
Princeton - Low Reach
UPenn - Match
Johns Hopkins - Low Match
Carnegie Mellon - Low Match
Columbia - High Match
Northwestern - Low Match/Safetyish?
Penn State - You're already in.

thanks for the input.
bump

you're great, but yale as a high match...upenn as a match...stanford ea as a match? these are all reach schools no matter what...no one except a huge legacy or a famous actor can say they're a match at yale. nonetheless, you have great chances at all these schools.

Sorry if im letting you down, but im gnna disagree with ironmetal. No ivy is a match. ever. your stats are great, but ur ECs lack a bit due to the fact that u do not have any leadership positions.

Stanford EA- crapshoot/reach
Yale-same
Princeton-same
UPenn-reach/low reach: reach if you're applying for business
Johns Hopkins-reach/low reach
Carnegie Mellon-high match
Columbia-reach/low reach
Northwestern-low reach/high match
Penn State-no idea but im guessing thats a safety.

i suggest u add some mid lvl schools to your list. except for penn state, all those are high risks that u cannot predict. dont take any chances and add schools like UVA or BC or wutever.

yeah, this list is definitely top heavy right now so ill have to cut down and add some mid tier schools too

$@#$ I wish I was asian

=(

hahaha, no its definitely a good thing that you are not asian because then you would have to compete with a ton of other kids like myself to get into a top college.

So true...

hahaha....bumpity

Why in the world would anyone wanna be Asian? Hahaha. The competition stinks...

its pretty incredible how quickly these threads fall off the charts... bump

i always dream of being naitive american (im asian)

^^why don't you just be happy with who you are.

anyway, yeah the ivies are hard to say, but i have a friend at Yale who got in RD last year with almost exactly the same stats. so you'll probably get into a few of the ivies , but not all of them.

all the other colleges you should consider yourself in.
