I got accepted into Stanford EA, but I also submitted applications to a few other schools. Is there any negative consequences of not accepting my Stanford application right now? Do I miss out on housing decisions or anything?
Absolutely not.
First, congratulations on your early acceptance to Stanford! Second, there is absolutely no obligation to inform schools of your decision before the deadline (May 1, I believe). Early admission is non-binding, and you have the right to think about what makes the most sense for you and explore other options. If you determine that you are set to go to Stanford, then informing them early is both courteous and will give you closure on the admissions process; but it is not at all necessary, and you will not miss out on anything. Housing and all other such decisions are made after May 1.
There are schools that give you housing preference based on when you enroll. I have no idea if this is one of them. Post this on the Stanford page, not here since they will be able to answer your question.
