Does anyone know about how many people are deffered in the early admissions and later accepted in the regular admissions round?

I thought I have read here that Stanford is the most forthright of all the EA schools… that if an applicant really does not have a good shot at RD, they simply outright deny admission in the EA round… is this not correct?

the letter says 10%…but i wish it were mooorrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee
Does anyone know any different?

the initial deferral rate is usually about the same as the admit rate-so about 13%

of the deferrals, about 10% are admitted.

I’ve also heard that the deferral rate was higher because Stanford does not defer many at all. Still, I’m not sure

Around November, everyone starts talking about the Stanford Slaughter. Yale, its EA counterpart, defers a lot of applicants, preferring not to reject them. Stanford, on the other hand, is forthright, as posted above. They usually give the yes or no, preferring to defer comparably few. That would lead to believe that the deferral rate is at least no worse than the RD acceptance rate. That’s fortunate or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it.
