Is there a place on the supplement to indicate that you are using a fee waiver for Questbridge?

Or are you guys just choosing "Other Fee Waiver" on the common app?

I just put Other on the common app. I’m wondering what to do for Caltech though because it says to indicate that you are a QB Finalist…but where? If its on the additional info part, then arughhh because I already submitted.

No idea for Caltech. Anyone else know about Stanford?

Use “Other Fee Waiver” for the Payment. I indicated I was a finalist in the Awards Section.

Best of luck

For Princeton, did you guys write QuestBridge Finalist on the supplement somewhere?

Where would you put it? I just put QuestBridge Finalist in my awards section and selected “Other Fee Waiver,” like physicsnut1. I also emailed several of my colleges giving them my name and my intention to have the application fee waived, asking if there was anything else I needed to do.

^Thanks for the reply. Did the QB colleges you applied to ask for an e-mail?

Nope, but I figured it was better to make sure. The instructions for obtaining a fee waiver on QuestBridge’s website are pretty vague for almost every college. I think Yale was the only college I applied to where I knew exactly what to do.

^ What did you do for Yale?

Fallen, did the colleges email you with additional instructions for the fee waivers?

Hey so I just checked my app status for Penn and it says that I haven’t paid the app fee, but I just put “other”

It generally takes colleges some time to process the fee waiver. I wouldn’t worry at all about Penn as this stage, tochau. If you didn’t list QB College Match Finalist anywhere on your CalTech app, you could just send them an email saying you are a QB Finalist who checked off “other” for the fee waiver.

Okay, thanks i listed QB as one of my awards/honors so hopefully everything works out smoothly!

FallenAngel9, did Stanford send you any additional instructions for the fee waiver?

Sorry, didn’t see this topic.

I have since gotten two emails back: one from UVA and one from Rice. Both said that indicating QuestBridge Finalist status and selecting “Other Fee Waiver” were enough.

For Yale, I selected “Other Fee Waiver” and filled out the one-page document on their supplement. I gave the information they asked for (income, number of dependents, etc) and clearly stated that I was a QuestBridge Finalist who ranked them for the match.

Sorry, Luminouzz, I did not apply to Stanford so I do not know if they have any additional instructions.

Thanks for the response.

Anyone else know about Stanford and Princeton?

I emailed Princeton about it a few days ago, telling them that I listed my QB Finalist status under Honors and selected “Other Fee Waiver Request” and they responded today with:

“That’s all. Your application fee has been waived.”

I don’t know if that means that you should email them about your fee waiver or if doing what I did without the email is good enough, though. Sorry.

^Ah, alright.

Thanks anyway :)

No prob. Good luck with it!
