<p>It's amusing, because stats seemed so important back then, but I got to stanford and I honestly have not the faintest idea of what people's SAT scores are. I didn't submit my SAT for admission (I took it december 6th for national merit purposes only), so that's not all that interesting. The score I ended up with was largely a result of the fact that I was taking the test ONLY to see IF i could do well, when there was no real consequence for doing poorly. It just has so little to do with being at Stanford, and I feel like it has nearly that little to do with whether you get in. Stanford is about here and now and the future... almost no-one is harping on how well they did in high school. We're all on equal footing when we get here... yes some people may be math and physics geniuses, and some may be absolutely incredible writers, but for whatever reason it feels like we're all in this together.</p>
<p>um...aren't the sat's required for admission? Or, the ACT's at least, right? What was your ACT score then.</p>
