Does anyone here have kids who have attended the Stanford High School Summer College? If so, would you mind sharing your overall thoughts about the program? Thanks!
I actually have seen kids go through it! The general consensus seems to be that the classes are extremely challenging to even some of the smartest kids I have seen. The classes also DO NOT give you any sort of advantage in terms of admissions to Stanford. Some kids have been disappointed by this but it is simply true, so far none of the three kids I’ve seen go through them actually got in

Yes! My kid went at the end of 9th grade and loved it! Met students from all over the world who were very smart! They were told acceptance rate was 10% for that course. Course was hard, did get an evaluation/recommendation at the end on Stanford Letter head from the Stanford PhD student (we didn’t ask for it). Don’t think it will help get into Stanford per se but great experience nevertheless. We only knew one other student that had done it a few years prior, who is actually now an undergrad there
