Hello everybody! I have a stanford alumni interview next week and was looking for any and all advice. I know that I need to be unique and stand out, but what does Stanford specifically look for in an applicant? Also, my essays weren't that great, so how could I possibly help that issue? Thanks and I appreciate any tips!

I have one next week as well. The fact that you’re doing an interview is what helps you most. The alumni interviewer won’t take incredibly detailed notes. Instead, s/he is there to try to answer questions, tell you about their Stanford experience, convince you to attend Stanford if admitted, and in some cases gage your interest and reasons for applying to Stanford. Stay calm and I’m sure you’ll excel. Good luck!

Stanford is pretty new to interviews. They dont interview most of their applicants. So don’t be apprehensive.
