I don’t believe that to be the case.

On the KH website it mentions “We can select you as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar only if a graduate program admits you to Stanford”. I guess I misunderstood this?

It is my understanding that application reviews start out simultaneous, and then once teh the grad/professional school prepares a list of potential acceptees, the scholarship program conducts mores detailed reviews.

(Hint: in other words, if interviewed for KH, grad school acceptance is ~90%.)

So if I understand this correctly, is the first screening for potential KH candidates done by the grad school before the applications are looked at in more detail?
