Stanford SCEA or Not?

Hi all,

I was wondering what your guys' opinion regarding Stanford SCEA vs EA to other top schools (MIT, Caltech) is. Strategically, which gives me a better chance into getting into one of the three? Does a SCEA to Stanford help my chances more than two EA's, or is Stanford's acceptance rate for their SCEA simply higher due to better students/recruits/legacies?

Also, I feel like Stanford will hold my leadership/volunteering/sports ECs higher than MIT/Caltech would, and I also haven't done any science research, although I feel like I've demonstrated a passion in CS. So which path would be the better option?
For reference, here is my chance thread : <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1666461-chances-for-top-cs-engineering-schools.html">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1666461-chances-for-top-cs-engineering-schools.html</a></p>

Thanks for any suggestions.

Honestly I would just choose whichever school(s) you like best. I don’t think SCEA/EA vs RD isn’t a big enough difference to make a big deal out of. Just choose the school that you want to hear back from first… and also whichever school you feel that your app is particularly strong for.
