gnite peeps

i don’t understand why financial aid is such a big deal. i would take loans up to my forehead and raise debt like no other just to attend my top choice school. getting in is the hard part. the rest is a piece of cake. my happiness is priceless. isn’t yours?

I guess my question is: why was liontreelion the only one who received an email? I’m assuming a lot of people tried it…

Should I send an email to admissions and apologize? I’m not getting in, but I feel bad.

sighs in relief Oh, thank God I didn’t check!

IDK why I’m still so…hopeful for Stanford. It’s not the prestige I like, really…it just feels right. I saw a lecture on network neutrality from Stanford and I fell in love with the school, and even more when I visited. Let’s keep the hope alive, guys!!

@southern

sure, i don’t mine taking loans…it’s the fact that I wanted to make sure I finished my financial aid application. I know a person who made it in last year and did not finish his financial aid…he ended up not getting any. I come from a very poor family and even though I am a Gates Scholar, I still wanted to make sure I had financial aid.

The reason is you had to be able to use your app ID to get into the system, which resulted in receiving the email. The people who were not able to didnt…

I think it just suggests that people who were able to get into system w/ ID are accepted to Stanford. Iono if the rest of us who werent able to log in needs to send an apology.

lol im taking loans, but some schools wont even approve loans b/c of some nutty commitment they made to no loans over 12K for the entire four years of education and promise to meet need, yet they truly arent committing to either.
P.S. socal, your jaded all knowledgeable act is getting obnoxious.

i got the e-mail as well…

Did the other two who were able to access the system get emails as well?

The assumption is yes

Is it an automatic message from the system indicating that you have logged in? or the one from the admission office?

So curiosity killed the cat…
I talked to my sister and my brother about checking this way and they were against it…phew!

just check page 9 of this thread

i think it means they got in, the ones who got the email, like madame said…

Maybe Stanford admissions office has been reading this thread.

missyujin, sooo english at cal

JGee, where else did you get accepted? I thought you got into some really amazing colleges!!!

[add]
…like Wellesley!!! :D

@miss

We haven’t been “killed” yet give us a break…

None of us had siblings to tell us that. If you knew ahead of time then why didn’t you tell us and if you JUST ask your brother/sister after all of this has unveiled then your post was pointless…

you probably post it simply to self-indulged yourself

I asked before this was “unveiled”…
I didn’t know anything ahead of time, it was just their intuitions.
Sorry, I did not mean to offend in any way.
Most likely you guys are accepted; best of luck to you!
