What's considered a competitive SAT I score for a female URM? SAT IIs?

For Stanford specifically (I forgot to add).

i'd like to know to actually... cept im a male URM....

Well...I think if you're Hispanic it needs to be higher than if you were a Hispanic applying to HYP. Stanford has like a 12% Hispanic rate, which is pretty high for any college, in my opinion.

I don't know about the others, sorry.

im hispanic... doh!!!! wait 12%? isnt calimexica like 30ish hispanic... hmm... still underrepresented!!!! lol... what about for HYP??? just askin...lol

looked up

11% Hispanic...HYP is like 6-7% (average kind of).

Stanford attracts lots of Cali students, which has a large Hispanic %.

I'm not saying Stanford has the MOST .... I 'm saying of like really selective schools.

UT El Paso has 78% Hispanic

Yeah, 12% is definately the highest I've seen among most private schools. Anyways, I'd like an answer to this one too. But I'm sure it depends. I mean, generally, a competitive score for everyone is 2200+ I've heard. Not sure how its different for URMs, maybe 2000+?

How much leeway in other areas might a URM get if their score was 2200?

Personally, I managed with a 2000 as a URM, but I didn't apply to Stanford, but yea I think 2000+ is pretty much compromising overall, and 2300+ is pretty much the golden touch.

How about a 2200-2300 with average EC's, but a 3.5-6 GPA (ofcourse Honors, and AP classes)?

^I'm interested in this one as well.

You need to reevaluate this question. Try to get grades and scores good enough for any student applying to Stanford, not just for a URM. I am a URM and I didn't ever think about being able to skate by with a lower score. Work hard and do your best and if you think your scores are good enough, apply to Stanford.

It's too late for me (though I have legitimate reasons for my GPA), so I still want to know the answers. My SAT scores are legit for any school without AA-- I still want to know the answer.

What's a competitive ACT score for a non-URM (I'm URM but I'm not going to lower my standards)?
