<p>I can’t speak to the math/comp sci debate, but if you have visited both campuses, it is difficult to believe that you don’t have a preference for one over the other. As a previous poster pointed out, the “feel” of each campus is so different: Stanford is calm, peaceful, spread out, feels close to nature, etc., while Harvard is bustling with excitement and activity in an urban environment. My D at H had absolutely no interest in Stanford due to its environment. Does anyone on this thread who has visited both campuses really feel they are similar?</p>
<p>Speaking as a former cross-admit myself, heck no, the campuses are not similar.</p>
<p>The student bodies have a lot in common in terms of the sense of ambition and reaching for the stars, and the incredible diversity of backgrounds, interests, and talents. But the campuses and the housing systems are about as different as they could be.</p>
