[New Addition] What Would be my chances for these other Uni/Colleges?:

Berkeley

-Air.

well at this point, you can't do much about your EC's or your GPA/rank. Mostly, you'll have to work hard on getting a high score on the SATs, writing stellar essays, and getting good recommendation letters. Put a lot of effort into essays, and try to really convey who you are.

As to what your chances at Stanford are, I'd hate to say this but I think slim to none. I mean, you are an international student, your EC's do not stand out in anyway, and predicted score of 36 in IB is pretty mediocre/low. At this point, I'd say Stanford is VERY unlikely.

Don't be too focused on Stanford only. Consider other less competitive colleges that might be a good fit for you. I think colleges ranked 20th+ are fit for you.

Also, do you need financial aid? If you do, your chances will go down even more, and in that case, I'd say that Stanford would pretty much be an impossible dream.

REJECT at all.

oh yeah also, your chances at Berkeley, UCLA, Caltech and MIT aren't very good either. I'd say probably reject/waitlist :S

Sorry :(

So what can I do to improve for next year, you could have said I don't have a chance but at least give me some advice. There's still time...

There's nothing you can do.

If you're from a Country that doesn't send Stanford a lot of applicants and get outstanding SAT scores, you will have a chance. We don't know anything about your school system, more info would help. What Country? Do you need aid? Has your school sent others?

I am in Canada, my school has not sent others. Sent only 2 people to american university and we are the 3rd Graduating class, 1st IB grad class. Our school is 700 students and approx. 300-400 in grades 8-12. and 70 in Grade 12 for next year. And aid, I am not really sure. Will having aid decreasing my chances?

Are you at at the very top of your HS class? An unusual ethnicity?

I am in the top 5% and Middle Eastern (Iran) Do we have to state Ethnicity in our Application? And could anyone please respond to my previous question regarding Financial Aid, will it lower my chances, and is it a good thing?

Thanks once again!

I couldnt edit my previous post, but I live in Canada, so I am Canadian but Ethicity from Middle East (Iran).

Thanks again!

Wait for your test scores...
