<p>Neat article - I think MIT was the first school whose impact researchers attempted to measure broadly, and they estimated MIT’s combined contributions would make the 11th largest economy in the world. I wondered whether Stanford would ever have such a study done (esp. for the NYC campus proposal), and it turns out the guy who did this study is also the one who did the MIT study.</p>
