STAR test score count?

the state standardized testing for me is this week and..

i was wondering if it really does count

schools always try to play it up
because it determines the money they'll receive (im in california with the oh so bad Schwarzenegger budget cuts)

and i looked back and ever since i moved to CA in the 3rd grade
i've had perfect scores on all the standardized state tests
5 out of 5 on every section, every year
im in 10th grade now
and my academic unweighted gpa is a 3.8, and my school which isnt so great has an API of 746 (not too bad i suppose)

just wondering. does the STAR testing help me get into college?

No... not for college.

You should want to do well on them as they may help you qualify for scholarships in your area.

STAR test counts for the school rather the individual.

Anyway here is an article about schools having a hard time to get the students to take it seriously.

<a href="http://origin.mercurynews.com/education/ci_9081297%5B/url%5D">http://origin.mercurynews.com/education/ci_9081297</a></p>

There is nowhere on college apps to even list those kinds of standardized tests.

I see many California high school transcripts...I will tell you that many list the STAR test results right on the transcript, along with the exit exam information.

New York State regents will be on college aps

For California, the STAR test results will be prominently displayed on your transcript, starting this year.
